I grew up (Like most) loving cartoons and videogamesAnd that love hasn’t wavered, seeing all these incredible characters brought to life by normal people was fantastic.It was an inspiration, seeing all they could do to bring a character to life, and pushed me to become a casual voice actor in 2020. During this time, my love of the hobby only grew, voice acting became a daily practice and before long, I decided to go pro.After upgrading my set up, I threw myself into voice over completely, working full time. Spending every day I had free, learning and working to improve.That passion and drive, like my love for videogames and cartoons, never wavers. So I make it my mission to use it to help incredible minds bring new, fantastical worlds and stories to life.

Hello. You can refer to me as Gumby I guess. I have a small YT channel called Burgess Be Gaming, but the first few videos I posted on the channel, I went under a different name: "Mario Skits & Stuff".This old branding was an attempt to make Mario 64 Machinima videos with their own plot, concepts, and more, similar to other YouTubers who have done this like SMG4. It wasn't the best, as they were recorded using an N64 emulator on an Android phone, and I was very young so I couldn't get the best software to do so, nor could I have a good device to work with at the time. "Metal Mario's Rise" was actually one of the ideas that I had for a series, but I never got to get it past 1 episode.So this project is a revival of the series I attempted back in 2017. Now that my technology and understanding of editing has improved since then (especially technology), I want to try remaking this series.

I have always dreamed of being a voice actor. I enjoy creating and imitating voices for the enjoyment of others. My experience ranges from voice over to audio dramas to audiobooks. A few examples have been Amanda Blood-Scourge in Darklands of the World Before (Dark Lands: Episode 20 - Circus for a Psycho (youtube.com) , Maelstrom and other minor characters in Legends of Khampion (Legends of Khampiohn: Genesis Era - Episode 1: A Time before Time (youtube.com), and Woman in the Village and Female Librarian in Runaway Samurai (Runaway Samurai | Casting Call Club). I come with acting experience as well. In high school, I was a member of the Comedy Improv team. In college, I was a Shakespearian actor, playing Grumio in "The Taming of the Shrew". New to the business as an aspiring voice actor for various media. I've always enjoyed voice over work and was interested it ever since I grew up listening to my favorite cartoons and engaging in some TTRPG groups that have had a big impact on my life. 
That being said, most of my limited experience comes from these TTRPGs that I've been lucky to be a part of, as well as recording educational videos for classes that I assist in teaching.
Being in education for most of my life (MS degree in Entomology), I've given many scientific talks on material and projects I've lead before, as well as simple educational outreach projects. These projects range from scientific talks on research I've done, to recording lectures for students online while courses are being transferred to virtual classroom settings.
