About Rick_D

Hi and thanks for looking over my profile.

I'm Rick, a 38 year old British guy with a passion for voice work, video games, D&D and all things technical.

I've been doing accents all my life (started impersonating an Irn Bru ad at age 3) and picked up a passion for voice work when I got into D&D a while back.

I've worked on podcasts such as 'Five Minute Folklore' where I took on numerous voice acting roles (from Dracula to a Labrador and everything between!) and 'Weird Tales and the Unexplainable' as a guest host and researcher.

I have also worked on the YouTube series SCP Un[REDACTED] as a foundation research director VO and have been cast for many other diverse roles

My ultimate dream would be to stand in the booth at Square Enix, Bethesda, Sony, FromSoftware, Namco Bandai or any other games company, providing voice work for video game characters. Gaming has been a life long passion for me

I'm reliable, friendly and deliver quality work in a timely and professional manner. If you think i'd be a good fit for your project please get in touch.

Accents range from British (most regions but I have a native home counties accent and can also do Irish, Scottish, Australian, various European, regional American accents and many others. Always love trying something new too!

Check out my showreel and some of my past audition runs to get an idea of what I can do.
I am running a Focusrite 2i2 and a RODE NT1

It’s not everyday that you’d manage to find just the right person with the exact voice you’re looking to have for your project.

It’s another thing when that person captivates the moods and emotions of the character to a T.

Then, you start to question yourself on how lucky you’ve been, when they take a given space of creative freedom, run with it and voice act in ways that end up improving the story that you’ve worked hard on, in ways that you’d not expect.

And then on top of that, to have someone share the same enthusiasm about craft of voice acting and small indie animation projects, someone very responsive, prompt in delivery and just generally a breath of fresh air to work with, that is rare.

Rick Dove is that person. My experience in voice directing him has been nothing but extremely positive.
I don't doubt for a second that Rick will absolutely make it a long way in voice acting, and he will be one of the first people I'll consider in any of my future animated projects going forward.

If you're considering Rick to help bring your character to life, don't delay for a second. Voice actors like him don't come by often, and you will not be disappointed!

Man Rick was awesome. He sent in his lines super early, he did multiple takes, he did requests with no problem and made extra scripts for other cast members! Truly Rick was a great man to work with and I hope he moves on up in the future. Please hire him, you won’t regret it!
