Greetings and salutations members of Casting Call Club! My name is Robyn Meif! I've been voice-acting for a few years now. Most of the projects I've been in had fallen apart at the beginning. Others, I had to leave for reasons outside of my control. Now that life is more organized and consistent, (and because I came out of the closet and changed the name I use), I made a new Casting Call Club account to keep my voice acting career professional, organized, and clean. You might have seen my old account, too! I have been here for a while, so I wouldn't doubt it!

Anywho, let me talk about my work. Ever since I was a little, little, little kid, my mind not yet corrupted by the horrors of the world, I was always enamored by the voices in cartoons, anime, podcasts, and really any recorded medium. As I grew up, I got to see how it worked. Either at a desk in a quiet room, or with a standing microphone in a recording booth, I always knew I'd want to do that someday. I started Casting Call Club to get my first roles, and to get my name out there (I wasn't doing this for money! I was doing this to make people HAPPY!). When I got into it, I never thought I'd get picked up big. I never thought I'd be able to record in a booth. I was kinda down and sad, and stopped voice acting a few times because of it.

Then, I got introduced to a place in my general area. A creative space. A place where people who don't have the tools to create can borrow some! They have recording booths and computers with visual and audio software. It was and still is amazing, and I still visit them regularly to this day (Thanks to Cory for sticking with helping me all this time)!

As for never getting picked up big? Well, that dream came true a few months before writing this bio, when I got a message here on CCC about the CHAD Podcast. A Fallout 76 audio story. At first, I wasn't aware that this podcast is actually huge, but I loved the personality of the characters, the director, and the fans! After a while of having the role, I come to find out that the podcast has 800k listens from all over the world! Interested in checking out the podcast? You can do so on Spotify HERE!

Enough for my story. I told you this so you have some background on me, but also for the new voice actors and actresses of CCC. Be confident. Take any role you can get. Don't do it for the money. Do your best. Get your name out there. Follow your dreams. Connect with local communities and creative spaces. And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
