PODCAST FANTASY, A bards symphony

Project Overview

This project will be an experimental one.

My goal is to make a fantasy audiobook that makes the music critical in the storytelling, as the main character is a musician.

Due to my wish for a diverse universe to show the listener, I hope to have a variety of voicecasts.

We have currently written most of the pilot, and composed the base music already. The thought is to release it for free on social media to help me see if people like the idea, and give me motivation to see the whole thing come to life.

I hope to hear what we can create together! I am more than willing to get feedback about both my music and writing if it can make it better ^^

Note:

Currently there will be no need to sing, as the story is written to lean on instrumentals. This won’t be like most musicals.

(If the project makes it past the pilot episode, I might look for someone if I need a cover or a song performance. This will not happen in the near future)

Most chatting will go through discord since that was the most effective media for now.

Lead character, Female. (No singing)

Cathie is a bard who plays the violin. She has a mystic ability to hear others "theme-songs."

A journey takes her out on an adventure like no other with 3 heroes, where she has to help them work together. 

She will gradually become more sure of herself and her own ability as time goes, but starts off as someone modest and not fond of larger crowds despite being a bard. She gets overwhelmed by chaos, but will prevail with the right motivation.

Alex is the main character's best childhood friend. They don't take part in the main story more than being a motivation for the character.


In other words, it's a bit of a low-commitment VA job if this works out well. 

If you were to want to continue with another role once you've landed this one, there's no doubt you'll get one.

This role is one of the main cast. The series might take a while to produce, so I hope for someone who is willing to spend time with the project, despite the dead-time that might follow.


Travis is a knight with some knowledge on magic and starts out like looking like the normal and responsible one in the party. He’s like the party’s mother in many ways as he knew more of survival and travel than the rest. He gladly teaches this to others and gives them a helping and patient hand.
Travis is the last one to give up on people in need, but might sometimes deem this necessary, or if Lilly decides that is the best action. His trust in her decisions are steadfast.
Above all he is a peacemaker and tries to resolve conflicts as best as possible.

She starts off as appearing like a cold, short-tempered ”holier than thou” person, set on keeping a heroic appearance to the public, but is in truth not very sociable. She is direct and sometimes heartless as she values results over the wellbeing and feelings of others.
