Once Upon a Wasteland is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi romance set in the world of Bethesda Studios' "Fallout 76." Although it's set specifically in the Fallout milieu, it's intended to be accessible to everyone, regardless of whether they're familiar with the franchise or not. It centers on the love story of Beth Kirby and Odessa Valdez and their battle to save the growing civilization in Appalachia.
The show was recently featured by Bethesda in a Community Spotlight article (https://fallout.bethesda.net/en/article/3AX4SlRcAT2rRbNPg0S6xX/fallout-76-community-spotlight-once-upon-a-wasteland?linkId=100000247774872) and was highlighted on the welcome screen of Fallout 76 itself.
The show has earned more than 350,000 downloads in its first three seasons and has been both recognized and directly promoted by Bethesda. It has won eight Signal Awards, including recognition for Best Writing, Best Editing, Best Overall Scripted Fiction, and Best Show Art and has been selected for several film and web festivals worldwide, and nominated for awards by New Jersey Web Fest, LA Web Fest, Apulia Web Fest and NZ Web Fest.

The husband of Maria Valdez, Oliver Valdez is a warm, intelligent military officer. In this scene, he is talking to his daughter over the radio on her wedding day. They haven't seen or spoken with each other in a few years because they're on opposite sides of the country and communications had not been re-established. He loves his daughter and misses her terribly.
