Hi, everyone; this is exactly what it looks like! It's a motion comic dub for the Zeti Hunt arc in the Sonic IDW storyline! But please hold your applause because there's more..some of these roles are PAID! I'm a huge fan of the IDW series and originally planned to dub a few scenes already for fun, but I got so invested in the story while rereading that I got the urge to create the project you're looking at right now! I plan to cover issues 41-44, potentially even further, depending on how well this goes. If you plan on auditioning for this project, please know it will take some time. Standard comic dubs already take a while to get out, so a motion comic dub on this level will definitely be in production for a bit before shipping out; so if you're in, you've gotta really commit to being in because I'm determined to see this project through to the end! The Deadly Six are back for revenge, and their first target are Sonic’s friends in the Restoration! Zavok, leader of the Deadly Six, is angrier than ever and wants to reunite his minions. Jewel has called on Sonic, Tails, and the Chaotix for help, but will they be able to stop the Zeti before they launch an all-out assault on Restoration HQ? Plus, Belle’s got her own intruder to deal with, but it turns out they’re here to steal her! Sonic’s going to have to move quick to stop all the mayhem. PAYMENT:
Payment will be distributed after I receive the actors' finalized lines and the editor's finalized scenes. Payment is also subject to change between issues. I will adjust the amount paid depending on how many lines/words a character has spoken in an issue. For example, Tails only has 3 lines in the first issue, so the first payment would be $5; however, since he has more lines in the next issue, that payment would go up to 10$, and in the third issue, due to the number of words spoken, the payment would be around $25-$30. Keep in mind these numbers aren't final yet, and I will further discuss payment with the chosen actors once production gets going. Still, they gave a rough estimate of how I would handle payment. This rule applies specifically to characters from the main or supporting cast. Minor characters, like Zeena or Espio, only have a handful of lines throughout the entire arc, so the payment would be a flat $5-$10. This is purely a passion project that I am paying for out of pocket. If I eventually have the opportunity to increase the overall payment as the project progresses I will be doing so! First and foremost I just want everyone to be compensated in some way for their work!
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise. If it has noticeable background noise, it will not be considered and will be immediately dismissed.
Meeting deadlines is important, but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline! We can work things out as long as there is communication.
Communication is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, I will have to recast the role you were cast for.

Occasionally, I may ask if we can get into a call to do lines with some live directing. This will not happen for every single batch of lines, but expect it to happen occasionally, especially if you're part of the main cast.

If you choose to add an effect to your audition, leave in the unedited takes as well.

Originally, I was going to keep her as an extra due to her limited presence in the Zeti Hunt arc, but due to her major plot relevance later, I figure it'd be important to give her an established voice now rather than later. DESC:
We're looking for video editors who know how to edit motion comics! I know how to edit some video-related things, but when it comes to comics, I'm fairly new, so we need people who know exactly what to do, how to do it, and, in some cases, how to explain how to do it in case they need help. You'll need to know how to mess around with the panels directly, such as isolating specific panels, adding black borders to panels in some cases, whitening out words, etc. I want the videos we put out to stand out visually, and I want the visual flair added to be just as much of a reason people want to tune in on top of the amazing voice cast. Things like a bright light flashing if a laser is shot, the screen shaking when there's a heavy impact, engaging transitions between panels, etc. If you've got examples of work when you've edited things similar to what I just mentioned, you'll definitely be considered. Again, comic editing is pretty new to me, but I'll be helping out in any way I can! Several people will be chosen for this role to make the visual editing process as efficient as possible. Since the IDW comics can be very dynamic and chaotic with its paneling, especially during action scenes, we're looking for people who really know what they're doing when it comes to comic editing specifically. Zavok is a power-hungry and aspiring conqueror with a strong mind and will, caring only for power and his pack. While some might perceive him as a brute and wannabe world conqueror, Zavok has a penchant for quick thinking and is quite cunning, quick-thinking, and intelligent. Always observant, he is a tactical thinker and knows how to read his opponents in advance to use their weaknesses and a situation to his advantage. Zavok's voice should sound intimidating and menacing, able to switch from cold and calculating to loud and rageful on a dime. He should have a very commanding presence that demands the audience's attention when he's on screen. Davin Soblov's performance as Kaido, or Kevin Michael Richardson's as Shredder, would both be great performances to pull from. I'm very open to and encourage original interpretations regarding his voice here!

Tails is a young, intelligent fox cub who has a pure and courageous heart. He is very friendly and tries his best to approach others with a kind-hearted attitude, even towards enemies whom he does not know very well. Since Tails plays such a huge role throughout the comic run, good mic quality is a must! Feel free to emulate any previous actor or even come up with a take of your own if you feel inclined to! As stated in the Project Overview, payment will be increasing between issues; it's only $5 for now due to the few lines he has in the first issue.

Starline is mostly calm, theatrical, and sophisticated, exuding an arrogant sense of pride in his intellect and abilities. However, he is also ruthless, sinister, and cruel. He has the ego of Dr.Eggman with the sensibility to know when and when not to strike, making him a formidable adversary for the Freedom Fighters. In terms of voice, it can be up to your interpretation; accents will also be allowed for this one if you can pull it off well enough to make it convincing.

CHARACTER DESC -
Dr. Eggman is an evil, egotistical, and megalomaniacal genius constantly planning to take over Sonic's world. He views himself as obligated to perfect the world by ridding it of what he deems imperfections, including hunger, disease, and, above all, free will. Feel free to go for a voice similar to his current voice, Mike Pollock, but any interpretation of the character works! I'll be looking for an engaging energy and passion in the performance, I want you to really convince me that you HATE that blue rodent. Give these lines your all; a character like Eggman deserves it!

Belle is a badnik created during Eggman's brief period as "Mr.Tinkerer." Although she is quite shy and a bit timid, she is capable of leaping into action in the face of real danger. Due to her kind personality, she hates conflict and typically tries to resolve issues without fighting. I'm open to several takes on her voice here. As long as you can nail her kind and timid demeanor, you'll definitely be considered.

Lanolin has a helpful and hardworking mindset, as she is willing to do many tasks for the Restoration. She is good at following orders but is very formal about it. She also tends to be pretty bossy and annoyed when others don't follow her instructions! Looking for someone who can portray her determined leadership demeanor.

Whisper is a rather mysterious individual with a quiet and withdrawn personality. Very soft-spoken, she speaks only when the situation calls for it and, true to her name, in a very low volume, rarely uttering more than a few words at a time. Her voice should sound a bit withdrawn and quiet, very rarely getting loud and a bit more on the timid side. Be sure to watch your levels while recording this so you can be heard at a whisper, but your mic doesn't also pick up any background noise!

Master Zik is a calm and zen-minded individual who has a no-nonsense attitude towards everyone. He believes in survival of the fittest, meaning that the weak should be left behind. I don't have much of a preference when it comes to his voice here; you can emulate the original actor or do your own thing, what's important is choosing a voice that can be maintained for long periods of time since Zik has quite a bit of dialogue, and giving a performance that is believable, really sell to us that this old guy thinks he is the best when it comes to combat because of all the fighting he's seen throughout his life!
