Nils’ older sister, she and her brother were born in Ilia to a human father and an ice dragon mother. Her mother was kidnapped during The Scouring and after her father never returned she and Nils escaped through the Dragon’s Gate, where they lived in peace. The two missed the land of their birth and eventually returned to Elibe in their human forms. She and Nils were captured upon their return by the Black Fang and after escaping they were pursued endlessly by the Fang. It is while on the run that they meet Eliwood and Lyn, Eliwood being the one to rescue Ninian from the Black Fang. She and her brother decided to stay with Lyn, knowing they would be safer there and hoping to pay her back.
Ninian is the much more mature sibling. Her desire is to live peacefully with her brother is what keeps her going despite her dark past.
