Role assigned to: Maiden Melody

Rubellum is the main lead of the story and how she experiences the gift of the Umbra. She is 20 years of age (21 by the end of the game). The voice used during the demo reel should be a deep, somber voice that betrays her usual happy-go-lucky characteristics and attitude. The lines should be read as though they were part of a trailer, with music going in the background encompassing the project.

  • (Deep and somber, almost methodical) Why are we born of hatred?

Is it from our power stemming as humans?
Or is it from things we don't understand?

We are afraid of what we don't know.
    Simple as that.

    But they...they don't know.
They don't know of our power and
    raise their arms against us.

They may mock me, they may hate me,
they may scorn me, they may burn me.

But I know at the end of the day,
that I am stronger than them.

Hello there! Your voice is really good. However, there's a bit too much noise coming from the mic and the lines you read out felt a bit rushed in terms of reading the script. I can give you one more recording before I move on to the other submissions.

Thanks! I am going to redo this tonight but I am currently trying to buy myself a better mic. I know you want results not promises, but I figured I would let you know. Any suggestions for which mic to get?

I'm super duper happy with my Blue Yeti- it's usually pretty good in terms of a general auditioning standard. Feel free to listen to any of my auditions for an example of the quality!

Hi. As Chicha already mentioned, Yeti products are all fairly good products for voice recording as long as it has the pop filter on it and noise reduction. There are also others like Cyber Acoustics that are really well, just if you want some more suggestions.

Greetings! Ill definitely keep that in mind (thanks for the advise). I got my new mic this morning and I am looking up tutorials for white noise. I am using a "Neewer" mic, so far it seems awesome!
