Previously a fighter against the government back on Amber's home planet, Professor Files acts as the trio's guidance, and often helps them not only to fight against the shadows, but also helps them as a reluctant father figure, making sure they always know what is the right choice.
Many people crack a lot of jokes about his name (as you'd expect), and often loses his temper over it.
