Zen is the second prince of Clarines and is always trying to live up to that role. He wants to become the kind of person his older brother can rely on once he is the king. His relationship with Shirayuki, however, puts a strain on this. Zen loves her and can see what she has to offer to Clarines as a brilliant pharmacist, but his brother refuses to give her a chance, until now. Zen should have a tenor voice as he is very fun-loving, but he isn't a child.
