WDT - Darkest Dungeon: Voices in the Dark - Voice Mod
acousticdonuts for The Occultist
"To fight the Abyss... one must know it."
A half-possessed scholar of forbidden knowledge, the Occultist has long accepted his own bloody fate since the moment he forged his contract with those unspeakable powers. He was invited to the hamlet due to his expertise in demonology, though he showed interested in the Darkest Dungeon itself.
The Occultist conducts himself in a very logical and sound manner in spite of the horrific implications of his current powers. Though he's the most level-headed of the group, he only done this through a nearly nihilistic mindset of self-doom.

Pitch could stand to be lower, but I think more sophisticated, scholar tone you have for it makes up for its shortcomings. Delivery is pretty good throughout, with the Elder Speak not really flowing as well as it should; that's a nitpick on my part however. Tone is actually flawless for this one, you represent the character's spectrum of emotional positives and negatives here exceptionally. The third line specially shows the focused resolve for the character. Out of all of your attempts, I think I like this one the most, as it seems the most balanced and consistently well executed out of all of them. Also, good attempt at the Elder Speak, they're not fun lines to speak out.
Thank you for all of your constructive criticism! I won't take up all your time by replying to each of them individually, so I'll just say here that I appreciate the detail you've gone into, it's a big help in understanding exactly what you want out of the characters. I don't think I'll be retaking any of the auditions, I feel that any differences would be too minute to really warrant it, but I'm happy to work with any and all direction if you choose to cast me in the final project.
