For the first audition line, you are welcoming a traveler to your little, quaint town. You want him to stay for a while. See the sights, possibly even buy some things. You want to also show them how a real mayor interacts with the people.

For the second audition line, this newcomer has started asking too many questions. You'd rather not have another thing to worry about in your long list of issues to deal with. You want him/her to realize he's outstayed his welcome in your town.
