[CLOSED] The Misfits (Paid roles) ($150) ($50)
imalive for Mags (Female soldier)
Deadline is 11:59 PM (Pacific time) on Monday September 17th
=================================================================
Age: 24 to 32
Tone: Ideal would be Medium, Medium-high. Shouldn't sound like a teeny bopper.
Accent: North American (preferred) but open to Southern accent. Can't take any European accent whatsoever.
Personality:
Young soldier. Talented and effective but she tends to blame others for her flaws. She always wanted to be a Ranger but has failed every time. She blames it on the rest of her squadmates. Arrogant. She knows she’s good but she tends to overestimate her abilities. Her flaw is that she's not a team player and she doesn't acknowledge when she's wrong. She's not a mean, ill-spirited person. A soldier in a group of lesser-ranked soldiers and she lets that get to her head.
Race: Caucasian.
Appearance:
Beautiful. In her late 20s. Blonde hair. Blue eyes. Military gear.
Deadline is 11:59 PM (Pacific time) on Monday September 17th

**Please save a copy of the .wav file as auditions quite often have lines which come out better than final takes.
(Sorry for the long audition. Mags has a lot of different emotions, everything from anger, sarcasm, soldier, authoritative, sadness, happiness, war and battle, etc. The new actress has to beat April Stewart (the original actress) in EVERY single way.
(Military tone) (slight scorn in her words)
Easy - This is where they send all the fuck-ups and people they don't want. But hey, it's not like I'm bitter or anything.
(insulted) (angry)
Yeah, right……..(muttering under her words)……Bitch.
(grateful)(soldier)
After the help you gave us with the shooting range, we'll take any advice you've got. I'll line em’ up.
(Soldier tone) (during a firefight) (ready to kill) (shouting orders) (lower gain on this to prevent blowing out the mic when shouting..and then amplify it)(Think...Gordon Ramsay yelling at a cook)
I've got the one at 11 o'clock!!!!!! Razz, O'Hanrahan, take the two on the right!!!!! Poindexter, the center!!!!!(Irritated) (Annoyed) (surprised)
What the hell happened with these readiness reports?(sad) (disappointed)
I guess I wanted to make something of myself, you know? Be the best of the best. I *wanted* to be a ranger, but... guess this is as close as I get.(Sarcastic)(Someone asks why she never got promoted)
Gee, I dunno, maybe because I'm saddled with the worst damn unit in the NCR Army? Think that might have something to do with it?(worried)
I've got a friend stationed at McCarran - I heard something about a monorail explosion there. I hope he's okay.
(Said as a narration)
Mags was finally promoted to Sergeant, and the rest of the Misfits received an official commendation.
Great mic quality and great sound quality. The voice wavers. At times, it sounds exactly like a soldier and exactly like Mags and other times it sounds like a younger sister of Mags. But..I feel a lot of these things can be easily enhanced and improved but ideally want something where every line is nailed down. I feel like..there's an odd balance. Part of is all about direction..where as the director, he/she should give the best directions possible...but another part is...where I'd ideally like someone to capture the inflection/intonation without guidance. First sentence as an example...something isn't quite right in the first take..but the second take is too aggressive, etc.
If you'd like to give me what lines you liked best, I should be able to give you the same attitude/tone you like the best. Usually in my auditions I give a variety of tones/emotion to let you best choose what fits, then stick with the one most fitting for the character. Thanks!
