Monologue Freaky Friday: Great job last week on projection.  Most of you are getting a great grasp on this.Nice to hear the natural emotions coming out of you as you still focus on articulating and watching those unwanted sounds that can come out in each of these consonants’.  Please remember to continue to project, imagining that you are on a stage without a mic and that you need to ensure even the people in the back rows can hear you.

This week, I would like everyone to continue to focus on their posture and breathing when reading. Ensure you are taking big diaphragmatic breaths every time.

  • Peer Review: Please provide at least 1 feedback to someone who has not received a feedback yet on the homework link. Reviewing feedback of others and providing feedback as well is a great way to learn.  Pay attention to the critiques that I am offering as well as there can be lots to learn in there.

  • Have Fun!

Very nice engagement and the voice worked well for what you were going for as well. I did feel some parts of it sounded a little bit forced though. Also, some enunciation was sacrificed in your pursuit of sounding like your character. It's difficult to think about all the different sounds, while keeping up your engagement, AND while trying to deliver in a particular character but I think you are well on your ways. For specific character decisions, you can still use all the exercises we give you to improve it. You would just need to do it in that character voice rather than your own.
