She's sort of like a tsundere.
She's also afraid of the dark because of her past with the empire.
She is one of the main leads
She was originally from the empire's (enemy) army and later joined the alliance with the current ship.
In her own personal story, she goes through a huge change from being closed off to the captain into becoming open and willing to talk to the captain about her feelings and such.
However, keep in mind that in the main storyline, that change doesn't really happen. So maintain the steady tone of being semi closed off, but not as much as the beginning of her personal story.

I would imagine her voice to be slightly higher tho in English than from the video.
