Captain Royez is a tough commander of a band of NCR soldiers. He is a firm believer that everyone has to save their own hide when given the chance rather than pursue suicidal gestures of honor or heroism. He sees the NCR top brass as people who regard him and his soldiers as toys and the wounded as liabilities that could be abandoned without regret. He would save his own life and those that can stay fight at the expense of the deaths of the wounded and weak. When the courier meets him, he is stranded with a few other NCR Troopers in a ruined city swarming with enemy BOS soldiers. He is very frustrated with the situation and is only looking for a way to save his own hide.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line. 

For the first audition line, you are incredibly frustrated at the heartlessness displayed by the NCR top brass for their own troops. You find it crazy and disgusting that they send other people to fight their own wars and won't even have the decency to ensure safe passage back home. You feel reality crash down upon you as the situation you find yourself in has now become potentially fatal. This is probably the worst news you've received from high command up to this point. 

For the second audition line, you are trying to teach a life fact to the courier, whom you now consider a friend. You want to save him from the horrible fate that befalls all idealists that roam the wasteland. You feel that the only way to ensure he survives like you is by turning him into a realist. You are very blunt, honest, and grim when describing this fact of life. It's not something you're proud of accepting but you do it anyways to survive.

For the third audition line, you are smug at being able to show off the spoils of war. You are so anxious to use these weapons against the enemy in order to let them have a taste of their own medicine. You are happy with having so much power in your hand and anxious to use it to its full, devastating potential. You are also trying to seem a bit cool and appear a bit cocky by understating these weapons at the beginning of the line in order to make the find all the more impressive to the courier. The courier will now know he picked the right side to fight for and that there is a chance of winning this battle.
