    Confident. Imagine the Black Cat preparing to jump/attack the protagonist with daggers.

    "Nyah! My eyes! I can’t see!!” 

    Sudden hopelessness, the Black Cat is not-in-control of the situation.

  • "Nya-ha-ha! Silly Apprentice. You should've known Rogues' are not to be underestimated!"

    Bratty/cocky tone, the Black Cat is looking down on the protagonist.
