Role assigned to: Fisher

A former member of the Followers forced to flee after a prank gone wrong. Welick, at some point, was captured and enslaved by the Legion, and was brought to the Frontier. Welick was freed on the condition that he helped the Legion, a condition he readily accepted. Welick is legitimately intelligent, but this is hard to see thanks to his massive ego. He refuses to accept responsibility for his actions, and can’t go a moment without grandstanding. This erratic behavior is made worse by a chronic drug addiction.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you are in the middle of one of many important scientific experiments. This experiment cannot proceed unattended. You also need to constantly show your scientific work to your superiors and masters so you aren't executed for no longer being of use to the Legion's cause. You hear someone has walked into your office behind you, but you don't have the time or interest to address him. You quickly turn around to shoo him away so you can return to your work as soon as possible. As soon as you turn around, you notice that your visitor isn't another battered Legionnaire, but rather the interesting and surprisingly resilient courier that everyone in the Legion camp has been talking about and interested in. You yourself wonder if this courier could do some of the more dangerous and physical tasks for you and your experiments. You decide to just pause your experiment for a bit and take some time to hear this interesting individual and potential collaborator out. You are annoyed at first, but are interested and slightly happy by the end of the line.

For the second audition line, your getting the same lack of respect and praise you received back from the Followers, a faction that you were a part of in the past and despise now. How dare he try to pick a fight with such a brilliant mind as yourself. There are clearly no grounds upon which you two can work together and interact. Your investment of time in this man/woman has been wasted. You want to never speak with this person again and want him out of your sight this instance. You are angry and upset that the courier is rude and disrespectful and want to leave and never speak with him again.

For the third audition line, the courier is back in your office again and you are very glad to see him. For context, your character has worked with the courier for a while and done a lot of great things that have elevated your position in the Legion. You no longer have to fear for your life when there's a lack of progress in your experiments. You are no very well received amongst your Legion comrades. You have achieved great things you thought of as impossible and couldn't have if not for the courier's efforts. He is no longer just an interesting outsider, but also a dear friend whom you'd do anything for. You warmly welcome the courier into your abode. He may not be as talented as you in the field of science, but certainly isn't a person to trifle with or underestimate when it comes to completing favors and tasks.

  • "I'm in the middle of... oh, hey, it's you."

  • "Ugh, I had enough of this back with the Followers, get out of here."

  • "Hey, hey, hey! If it isn't my favorite mailman. Man am I glad to see you here."
