Song Rae is a 22 year old (24 in Korean age) androgynous female born on October 28th, 1996. She is the daughter of Jae Un and Sung Min, born and raised in South Korea. The Love Genie, a creature highly disregarded in history for only having abilities when in love with a human, is a power that has ran in her family for as long as they can remember. Because of that, she grew up home-schooled and sheltered from those not like her. Later down the line, she married a fellow genie Cousin in hopes of falling in love with them and hence cancelling out the curse. Convinced they were truly 'in love', Song Rae was given more freedom to explore. Eventually she fell in love with a human, bringing about the curse. In the end Song Rae's secret wish-granting led to the human's death; just as it always has in history. In fear of anyone finding out or killing another, she moved to America without warning. There she let go of her femininity and assumed a new male persona, hoping that it'd restrict her from thinking about her past or meeting someone she'd love again. Since then she's found work as a bartender at a gay bar full time.
Being a Scorpio, Rae Byung shows herself to be very secretive, playful, and calm. She tries not to anger or disturb those around her and sticks to her friend group. When you get to know her you'll see that she's extremely energetic and protective of her companions. She's polite to any and everyone as long as you don't anger her.
Like I mentioned above, Rae Byung is naturally androgynous. This goes for her voice as well. I'd like a very neutral voice for her, but I'm willing to consider a low/deep, more mature female voice as well. As for accents, again either a North American accent or one matching her ethnicity. Please keep her character in mind as you audition.

Actually, i kinda wish i was never born right now. Don't look at me like that Yomi, you know it's true. If i had never met you and you never met me, we both wouldn't be in danger like this. You'd be off at more auditions striking it big and I'd be, well, non-existent. *Sighs* This is too much...
[Although not from the script, this monologue falls into the scene where Rae Byung is *hilariously* wasted; try your best drunken voice!]
Hey! Shut up, would ya? American's are always nagging and nagging and nagging! For gods sake! *Aigoo, everyone I've met here is wet behind the ears. And they wonder why i work at a bar; i can drink myself senseless and not have to give half a damn! *Laughs* You know what, i'm feeling pretty darn good tonight...Free drinks for everyone! *Whispering* You're the only one here, but i'm broke anyway. Stolen drinks for everyone! But i'm warning you, don't tell my boss. 죽일게 (joo-gill-keh; i'll kill you)! Did i scare you? I'm just kidding~
*Aigoo: A word used to show frustration. The Korean equivalent of "aw man!" or "geez."
A date? That sounds fun. How about an amusement park? Have you seen that dragon-coaster thingy on TV? It has the highest drop I've ever seen! *Pause* Why the long face? Don't tell me...you're afraid of heights? *Laughs* You're adorable Yomi! But were going anyways. Either that or Pizza Hunt. And believe me, i hate Pizza Hunt with every inch of my soul. I swear that cheese is plastic.
