Calix is the main character in this novel. He is very independent and witty. He is different from any of his peers and while he tries to fit in, he never feels satisfied. I don't have a specific tone in mind but it needs to be medium-low pitch.

  • *Sighs* Virtual reality already exist. It has existed for a long time, tell me something I don't know. 

  • *Shocked* It can lead to...death? *Faking* Yeah, totally, only a dumbass would do something like that. 

  • I am one of the few people that doesn't want to live in a perfect world. Perfect is boring and can anything ever really be perfect? I long for something other than this NewAge bullshit where we walk around and listen to robots, but am I really reckless enough to take a risk like this? I mean I don't want to live here, but I don't want to die. Do I?
