"The Ultimate Firefighter who became the youngest known member of his field thanks to his immense physical strength and sense of justice. He is a bit older than his current classmates due to a major accident that left him hospitalized, but he was permitted to continue attending Hope’s Peak now that he has recovered. He is a passionate man who gives his all no matter what, but his weakness for women often reduces him to a bashful mess."

Director's Notes

Shinji is another character where we're going to be picky about casting, because he is a favourite character among our staff. On a more serious note, the actor playing Shinji will have to have a lot of energy, as many of his lines are quite passionate and loud. Conversely, he also has moments of quiet mortification,  so a skilled actor is a necessity.

Voice

Original VA: Kamina (CV. Konishi Kazuyuki)

Shinji should, much like his original voice, be a character of great passion, emotion, volume, and energy. He should have a more mature voice than the other students due to his size and older age, and should fall into the Medium-Low to Low pitch range. While he is usually loud and proud, when he's embarrassed his voice should sound much quieter, meeker, and less confident.
