"A young man who dresses like a stage magician and dons a bizarre mask. He came to Hope’s Peak as the Ultimate Wizard, but no one has seen him perform magic to verify that claim. He never speaks, regardless of what’s going on around him, and, thanks to his mask, it’s impossible for anyone to get a read on him."
Director's Notes
Mikado is a character with a wide range of theatrical emotions. He can be silly and flighty one minute, and deathly serious the next. The actor chosen for this role must be able to swap between emotions quickly and express some in a dramatic way.

As previously stated, Mikado has a wide range of emotions. Therefore, his voice should be a Medium to Medium-Low pitch that is slightly flamboyant when energetic, and dark and gruff when angry. Ultimately, he should generally sound like a mix between a stage magician and the Phantom of the Opera.
(Theatrical/Jovial) Salutations! I am the great Mikado Sannoji. Were you truly that surprised by my mastery over magic? I am known as the Ultimate Wizard, after all.
(Serious/Commanding) That thing is dangerous! Everyone, get behind me!
