At the age of only 17, Amber is a born survivalist. Banished from a planet doomed for a world war, Amber finds her most human senses once she is sentenced to Earth's most remote town, against the singing mountains that silence them from the rest of the world.
Amber is usually silent and cautious around people she doesn't know, unsure whether to trust them due to past experiences. Despite this, when she grows to know someone she becomes less hostile, though still the while quite sarcastic and cocky. She always wants good for people who deserve it, though she isn't always glad of the company and gratitude they show her, thinking that working alone will always be best.
