His obsession with the potential of fusing alchemy and sorcery led him to exile himself voluntarily, experimenting with forbidden techniques to create power that transcends conventional magic. Oridian harbors a deep resentment toward the royal family, who dismissed his work as outdated and irrelevant. He views the rise of "birth magic" as an affront to the depth and complexity of alchemical arts.

Despite his isolation, Oridian has kept a careful eye on the royal family, particularly noticing Dividen’s neglect and frustration. Seeing an opportunity, Oridian offered Dividen mentorship, claiming to recognize a kindred spirit. In reality, Oridian’s goal is to use Dividen as a pawn to reclaim influence and execute his hidden agenda.
