We are recasting for Mary, as I've decided to pass it on to someone else. As Calypso (my character) and Mary spend a lot of time talking to each other.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Mary's life has been one tragedy after another. She lost her first home to a fire, survived violence at an orphanage, and now roams the streets. She survives on wits and charm, eating from dumpsters and conning people out of their bytes. Despite her hardships, Mary radiates energy and humor. She loves squirrels and often tells wild stories, spinning her grim past into oddly uplifting tales. When she joins the team, she becomes their fiery, loudmouthed mascot, finally finding the belonging she’s craved.
CHARACTER TRAITS:
Loud and witty beyond her years, Mary is sneaky, resourceful, and street-smart. She hides her vulnerability behind a brash, confident exterior.
VOICE TONE:
Childlike but natural, avoiding an overly exaggerated or forced high pitch. Her voice should reflect her spunky, streetwise personality while still carrying the innocence of an 8-year-old.

1. (Fake crying, laying it on thick but switching to calm mid-line) *sniffling* Oh nooo, I’m just a poor, sad, little girl who hasn’t eaten in days! *loud sobbing* My tummy hurts! *snapping back instantly* So, uh, did you say that was a ‘yes’ to the fries?
2. (Unhinged, excited, vividly imagining the chaos) I’m gonna stab him, right? And then he’ll be all like dramatic voice ‘bleh, blood everywhere!’ And I’ll be standing there like evil laugh ‘MUAHAHA! It’s me, the child of your nightmares!’ Are you getting the vision? Are you?... What do you mean he's the land owner?
3. (Crying, desperate, full of emotion) Vance, Vance! I missed you so much! Please... please, don’t ever leave me again. I—I don’t want to be alone again!
