MIGHTY MORPHIN' POWER RANGERS '96 - The Audio Drama
E.Thurlow for "Pirate Queen" Divatox
TLDR: Divatox = Leon the Professional's Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman)
Divatox Extended Audition: Divatox.docx
The self-styled "Queen of the Pirates," Divatox has zero interest in the frivolous planetary conquest of the Lord Zedd's of the universe. Her empire building kinks come in the form of furthering the interstellar expansion of her smuggling operations, particularly when it comes to her wonder-hit designer drug, Tox.
Despite her own addiction to getting high off her own supplies, Tox has amassed her a vast pool of wealth and information, as well as VIP access to important regulatory officials, whether through specially laced suggestive mind control variants of Tox, or her through the whims of her own seductive charms.
However, the rise of Lord Drakkon has been very bad for business. So bad, in-fact, it's forced her to directly lend her prized resources to the remaining band of rebels who may be able snuff him out for good--mainly the Pink Ronin, the last surviving Power Ranger.

*Say something you think would fit*
Even though I don't have lines for "my" Divatox quite just yet to see how it would fully play with '96's more serious tone...I seriously love your voice!
But the mic quality on this and Ms AppleBy just isn't acceptable.
This one hurts to red thumbs. :(
That's absolutely understandable! For my knowledge, Is the quality too quiet or too metallic? And as a side question, do you know what kind of mic set-up do your other actors you've selected so far have? I won't lie, I have a rough set-up right now with an older Yeti mic I've been looking to replace, and I'd like some ideas?
From what I'm hearing, it sounds really compressed for some reason. It's a 320kps mp3 file, but it sounds almost like your speaking through a 64kb phone bizarrely when there should be a sharp clarity.
An older Yeti should still be generally solid from my limited understanding (I bought my first in 2012, and it sounded great with a proper setup until it finally died a couple years ago), so I'm thinking the problem may lie more with either/both the mic setting being used directly on the mic (like possibly speaking into it in the wrong direction with the setting being used), the settings on the program your using to record your auditions with, or how the file itself is being compressed.I'm not an expert on equipment for VA'ng (my Yeti is overkill for my recreational use), but I'll ask around in regards for equipment/program suggestions from people on my shortlist (actually going to post an update later about the people I would cast today if I was absolutely forced too). So I will get back to you about that shortly via DM since it's probably helpful on my end too to learn about as well just for the general knowledge. But yeah, just to note, Divatox will be an E2 debut with her Pink Ronin variant (then later on with the proper MMPR cast), so considering there's still going to be a good deal of time before I even clear the E1 casting, there's plenty of time for fixing the annoying tech side of things. :)
