A Knight serving the Player Character's Lord (Count of Périgord) and a key figure during the first battle, which takes place right at the start of the game. He is a man from the south of France who is about 40 years old.
Charles is impulsive and honourable, and also represents a classical approach to battle and a great belief in the strength of French chivalry.
He is confident in his own right and therefore critical. He struggles to cope with the fact that he is not the one commanding his own army.
