Mac is a gentle yet boisterous, down to earth chef who has been transformed into a cuddly panda. After a troubled childhood, he found a home in the rough and tumble world of professional kitchens, but even though he can handle his own around sharp knives, swearing, and stuff on fire, his main drive in life is to be a nurturer. He is very much a stereotypical "Dad" type: loud, earnest, loving, and more than a bit cheesy. Laughs at his own jokes, of course. He's a big, working class guy and should have a voice to match: think John Goodman, Guy Fieri, or John Candy. He's not just a "jolly fat guy" though and should have a bit of Richie from The Bear's loyal, protective edge.
