THIS IS A MULTI-STORY ROLE.  DO ***NOT*** AUDITION UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU CAN COMMIT TO THE ROLE.  If you are cast, once you start the role, you can not stop for any reason.

This role is for four stories of varying length.  You can visit our site at www.dwad.net to see what the show is like and how long or short some of the stories are.

You will be committing for five stories.  Generally speaking, we do three stories a year, so this role will take about two years.  You will receive a script, have a few weeks to record your lines, and then there will be a long time before you hear anything again.

Payment is $20 a story.  Yes, I know, not much.  The BBC doesn't like us paying for these roles. Years ago, when the cast used to get together, we used to buy everyone dinner.  So this is kind of an extension of that.

The amount of hours listed for this role is an estimate and depends on the skill of the actor.  It is an imprecise way to determine the size of the role. I personally can do a 120 page script in two hours.  Someone else would take five hours.  So it is hard to say how much time will be involved.

Accent note: Use a somewhat neutral accent.  Remember that Western audiences need to be able to understand you without effort.

CHARACTER BIO

Female, in her mid-to-late 20s, from Denmark. She’s a classic Scandinavian beauty: tall, slender, blonde, with blue eyes. She comes from a prominent and well-to-do family; the Andersens have a long history of family members serving in government positions (such as ministers and diplomats).

As an only child, Freja sometimes feels that she’s disappointed her family (especially her father) by taking a different path. She is less interested in government, more interested in historic and vintage fashions, and has found a role for herself as a social-media influencer. She’s also a well-known socialite, involved with various philanthropic causes.

Freja is outgoing, charming, flirtatious, and can sometimes come across as superficial. She’s also smart, creative, caring, and thoughtful. But most people only see her external beauty, and she’s never been given much credit for her intelligence or talent.
