Paid: Flat Rate 5 USD
Role assigned to: Kenny Loui

Whoever is assigned this role would be the Voice Actor for Daisuke Isozaki, Ralquaz al-Qayaan, and half of the male background characters. Payment will be provided for work and at a negotiable rate, but may not exceed $5.00 per episode.

Daisuke is the human host of Ultraman Constelas and the vastly distant descendant of an half Ancient Spartan, half Ancient Athenian human disguise once taken by Constelas. Daisuke is Caring, Understanding, Generous, Brave, Heroic, Intelligent, Battle-Hardened, and Overdetermined.

Ralquaz is the leader of the Brotherhood of Shadows and a nearly ageless yet technically elderly man who has tasked himself with the ‘extinction’ of human civilization. He is Tactical, Egotistical, Ruthless, Cruel, extremely Unforgiving,  views Humans as a blight upon the universe, and views Ultras as gods who have taken the wrong side of the conflict.

  • [Daisuke] “Mine and Constelas’s failed attempt to access our greater power cost us greatly. Unfortunately, Team MLV, you’ll have to deal with Destoroyah yourselves.”

  • [Ralquaz] “You’ve finally caught on, I see. Though, I highly recommend against blasting. After all, Commander Fujiwara is right here. In truth, I survived my encounter with Destoroyah. By a hair, but I’ve survived far worse. I’ve just had Tanilia manipulate you to believe the Brotherhood was at war with itself.”

Ok, I’m just going to reply to this audition, as I feel, between both of your auditions, this is the role you’re more suited for of the two you auditioned for. Though it’s also because I’d prefer to avoid having the same person voice all the male background characters plus two main villains plus two major supporting characters. Anyway, I like your take on Isozaki enough, but Ralquaz could probably use some work. I presume this take was meant to make Ralquaz sound elderly, correct?

Admittedly, Ralquaz is a ruthless, nearly immortal man who has been around for millennia by the series’s time, but he doesn’t sound like he’s that old. Overall, I don’t imagine Ralquaz sounding terribly far off from Ra’s al Ghul as seen in B:TAS / the DCAU, and that’s not just because Ralquaz was based on Ra’s Al Ghul in general: Ralquaz, including his voice, is just generally more in shape than he should be for having been around for nearly 7,800 years chronologically.

Regardless, I’ll shortlist you for this role, as I feel you can do it, but before I cast you, I need to hear something closer to the DCAU / B:TAS version of Ra’s al Ghul’s voice to make sure. That said, I’m not looking for perfection or even necessarily greatness, just as close to Ra’s as you can consistently get for your Ralquaz voice. If that’s effectively just your normal talking voice but more menacing or something of the like, go for it.

Thank you so much! I'll review the Ra's Al Ghul videos again and will re-record the lines for Ralquaz and send it to you later today. Thanks again!

Just submitted a second recording for Ralquaz -- this one less hoarse/raspy -- so hopefully younger sounding. Not a perfect BTAS Ra's Al Ghul, but hopefully captures his essence. Thanks again the opportunity to audition! As an Ultraman fan since childhood, I'm looking forward to seeing this project come to fruition whether I'm selected for a role for not!
