Secondary role for now who leaves in the Season 4 Christmas special.
Tobias is second in line to take on leadership at Purgatory if or when the Liberator dies, second only to his 'daughter' Raven.
Demetrius is unsure whether she will take up the task but trusts Tobias completely, knowing he will do it without fail. Tobias is totally proud of this and does not want to disappoint his mentor since Demetrius took him under his wing and has overseen his training personally, which is not something he does normally. He has been collecting souls for a while now however he has only ever done it by granting desires, never by any other method such as pain relief. He can be calm most of the time however when the time draws near to claim his soul he can become angry.
In the final minute, the minute he can intervene, he will kill any who gets in his way. Think of the Liberator as John Kramer, aka jigsaw, from saw and Tobias as Amanda. She wanted to please her mentor but her own methods got in the way of doing so. Tobias always seems as though he is there to help and patiently waits and offers advice when needed.
As Jamie mortally wounds the liberator, he pleads with Tobias to save him. It looks like he will, but then...
Lines 1 and 2 need so sound calm and manipulative
With line 3 build it up over time. the climax is 'I ASK THEE TO RELIEVE... LET ALL BE FREE' It needs to get more evil as the line goes by, more powerful, more forceful. He is commanding the very depths of hell to release this soul. Think Charles Lee Ray transferring his soul into Chucky in the movie Child's Play. Keep it as realistic as possible though, not animated or over the top.

I honestly fear these auditions for Tobias now. I really do. I carefully put that chant together and now it's mentally destroying me lol.
I'm still looking for people who can only sing. I have someone write the lyrics, hopefully with a piano to show how it should be sung. Then I hand it to the singer to sing, then a musician to create the music for it. It does mean though you only get paid for one role, not all three.
(Deep breath) Here we go. I give feedback as I go along btw. All that above is before I hit play lol.
Line 1 - This was great. I'm torn between take 1 and take 3 but it was perfect.
Line 2 - This one sounded a bit too friendly in both takes. Keep the manipulative tone as in line 1. Tobias is out for one thing and it always ends in death. Take 2 was much closer though.
Line 3 - (Very deep breath) (Composes self) - Let's begin - Oh my lord. I can't believe it, I actually have tears in my eyes, no word of a lie. You got it on the first take. Nobody has ever done that and it was great.
You voice a very good villain. Smoothness of the voice, calm sounding but can raise it up when needed. Apart from line 2 sounding a little too friendly, this is the best first take of Tobias I have ever heard. Shortlisting you for sure.

You give very detailed feedback, I appreciate it! I am fully able to work around reworking lines to fit the vibe you’re going for! I do spend a while trying to match a character based on the description, so if you want consistent manipulative villain, you got it!

I always add notes to the comment as I go along. I feel it best to be honest with my feedback, in a polite manner of course. I think those who audition give some of their valuable time to me to create them, so it's only fair i give my time to give the feedback. To help them give the best audition they can.
No need for any retakes. I can hear that you can do the manipulative voice in line 1. You now know to keep the friendliness away from all but Demetrius, who is the only one he shows any signs of friendship with. More like a father/son bond.
A lot of project managers don’t put in the time that you have to respond to every audition though! Which is what I find great about you as a project runner, since a lot die on arrival and people give up, you seem to really want to put this out for the long haul!
I want to get some proper projects under my belt and this seems like it could be a project that gets some traction!
