Jamie is in it for a very long time so please consider whether you are able to commit to the role before you audition. This does not mean you cannot take on other work, I just do not want this character to go through multiple voice changes throughout the show. He has the most lines
Jamie is just an ordinary boy who wants to return home. he is extremely polite and has no isms, sexism, racism homophobia etc. He treats everyone fairly except his enemies. He is forgiving and is not easily manipulated however he is not too good with authority and does not know how to stand up to them. He runs though every emotion you can think of throughout the show so your range should extend to this.
Must be very clear to hear, no accent or very close to it, not aristocratic though.

I can’t just leave him there, he is about to slip, he will be killed if he falls from the tree. This branch isn’t much but it looks sharp enough, quite sturdy too. Now to get its attention, these rocks should do. (Panicked)Oh crap, crap, crap. I’m dead, just hold it out Jamie and... Lunge. (Relieved)Not the smatest creatures, it ran straight into it, hurting itself. Well it has gone for now. I’m coming Mason. Drop yourself down, I’ll catch you
(Tense scene) (Fear, Anger, Worry) IVAR, HE HAS KILLED HARRY. GET THE GLASS SMASHED OUT OF THE WINDOW AND GET IN HERE. TOBIAS. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY. RELEASE HER, LEAVE AND THERE WILL BE NO REPERCUSSIONS AS LONG AS YOU NEVER COME BACK.
I honestly do not think this will be able to beat the two waiting on the sidelines for the role.
Line 1 - Words need to be clear. 'Go out' sounded like 'Go ow'. Don't get uncomfortable until after you say breasts. It sounded good to say in Jamie's head but he realizes they did not sound that good when leaving his mouth. Then he immediately stumbles for his words.
Line 2 - This line really does not have the urgency this line needs.
Line 3 - The words are all in capital letters. this line really does need urgency.
I am sorry but all of take 2 would not work at all for this character.
I thank you for your response. I was planning on doing a re-recording anyways as I was in all honesty half asleep when I was recording this. What I would like to say in response however is if you need urgency in the voice then that does need to be listed like when you have it saying (Worried) as for the 3rd line set I saw that was a choice of my own vocal pacing. However as I said I was planning to re-record anyways.Also I do say "go out" not go ow. There are just over 40 different accents across the UK, maybe I just used one of the ones near where I live that didn't sound like what you wanted
Yes but if you read the line, worried is the main emotion but the situation the line explains shows it does not mean calmness. I left out some directions to see if people auditioning will read the line and put their own spin on it.
That makes complete and total sense you would do that. As the person auditioning I also find it's my place to choose the vocal pacing and it's not particularly hard speed up the pacing at all. So if you're willing to take a re-recording then I'd be happy to re-do
I will be adding more directions in future castings. A few people have shown me a new spin on the character that made me think with their auditions, but some others just read the line without adding anything.
I wanted to give people the freedom to portray the character in their style but it has backfired on me more often than not.
There is a reference video in the character bio for the second line, I think it is the final few scenes of the first episode. I will check on that and edit this if I am wrong. That just needs improving to make it how I want it sounding.
Always feel free to audition. Jamie's casting is done on July 1st so there is plenty of time.
