Voice-Actor. Story-Teller. Teacher. Biscuit-Enjoyer.
Josh is a US American non-binary (he/they) LGBTQIA+ voice actor who currently works out of his professionally built home studio. He has worked in front of a camera, stage, or microphone for 14 years. He doesn’t usually speak of himself in the 3rd person.
Being an English and Drama teacher for 14 years, Josh has always cherished the art of play and immersion, pushing himself and his students to embrace different emotions, sensations, and experiences, in both the character and themselves. A natural story-teller and giant goofball, Josh believes every character has a story to tell, big or small. He doesn’t believe in “bringing the character to life,” but rather finding the character in their truest form, and becoming a vessel for them to present themselves to our world.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Josh speaks two languages: English and Southern. While his every-day accent is now neutral American, he also does a variety of authentic Southern dialects. (He actually also speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese, but saying that before would have ruined the joke 😉)
Providing voice work for animation, video games, commercials, narration, eLearning, and more, Josh isn’t content to leave a client feeling anything less than amazed. He communicates, takes direction, adapts, and does everything possible to give the perfect take the first time around. Send a message here to create some magic!
