Knuckles the Echidna has been kidnapped by Gus Fring while searching for Omega. But he managed to break free. Knuckles has created various underground tunnels underneath Gus' lab to help others escape. This red treasure hunter has incredible strength and the ability to glide and dig. 

Personality:
Knuckles is a stoic Echidna dead set on protecting the master emerald. He tends to take a lot of things too seriously and at face value. He is a strong Echidna that always puts others ahead of himself. He can be brash, often punching first and thinking never. He is gullible and can easily be lead astray. But he always finds himself in the end.

Voice Direction:
Knuckles has a mid to low voice. He can be an aloof meathead at times, but he also has a more stoic side. He's like an older brother that likes messing with his younger siblings, but will do anything to see them succeed. 

In terms of which previous Knuckles voice actor, we do not have a preference. Feel free to base your voice off of whatever voice actor/era you want or (And this is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED) come up with your own take. We encourage orignal takes.

Here's a video of various Knuckle's voice actors for you to get an idea of how he sounds. Since this is "modern" Knuckles and not "classic" Knuckles, if you do want to base your voice on any previous voices, I recommend anything from Sonic Adventure all the way up to his current day appearance. Whether that's the games or movies or tv shows or something entirely new is up to you.
