Chelsea is sassy, annoying, and always speaks the truth (sometimes mean, sometimes nice), though deep inside she really cares, but she has a very traumatic past.
When Chelsea was eight years old, she was in a car accident with her mum and her two younger sisters; she was the only one out of the four of them that survived. She was still conscious in the car and saw her family members unconscious, not moving, and badly hurt. Her dad always diverted from the topic, which made Chelsea sick, and she tried to fit in at public school, but she was mercilessly bullied for being sensitive and shy. Her dad tried to homeschool her but it never worked. Eventually, she decided on boarding school, where she hoped she would be able to meet someone she could hang out with all the time - and she met Gabriella. She can empathise with others due to her experiences, but also because of her experiences she can seem quite harsh and cold.
