The NCR Rangers are the best of the best in the NCR Military. Essentially special forces, they are an all volunteer group that goes out on dangerous, high-risk missions to accomplish the goals of the NCR. From scouts and nighttime raids to assassinations and sometimes even combat missions.
This Ranger was caught while on patrol as she was asleep by the Legion. Taken to The Fort, she was beaten and possibly even worse before being brought before the Legion Trainees for a lesson in human vitals. If the player doesn't intervene, she will be executed.

I love the emotion you're putting into it, but on the first line, and it's my fault for not clarifying, but there should be some exasperation/desperation in the voice. But again, that's my fault for not clarifying. I won't make any judgement based on that alone as a result. I will be shortlisting you and making a decision very shortly.
