The Artwright Logs
JoshBot_Red for The Tearmonger

In the universe of The Artwright Logs, intense negativity can manifest onto people, objects, or even incorporeal concepts, resulting in the creation of beings called Dreadclung.
The Tearmonger's voice would sound broken, taking heavy inspiration from Gyutaro's English Dub Voice from Demon Slayer, sounding as if it is constantly speaking through tears (I mean, it is.)
The Tearmonger is a demi-human entity that feeds on the negative emotions of its victims. Not much is known of its origins...yet. It is the main antagonist of Book One.
It lures victims in with a depressive wale akin to a lost child, and once close it bombards them with a form of psychic signal, causing the victim's lacrimal glands to work in overdrive, flooding their vision with tears. At this point, the Tearmonger changes its behavior from fearful to highly aggressive.
After physically subduing its prey, it latches itself onto their face via its facial maw, and begins to feed upon them.

I...cry...oh, how I...cry...
Weeping...wallowing...my weary body crumpled on the floor like a napkin...
And now...they...will all cry too...
