Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW Publishing) Comic Dub - Casting Call #2
Marcel Howard Jr. for Jet the Hawk
Jet the Hawk (ジェット・ザ・ホーク, Jetto za Hōku) is a prominent character within the Sonic the Hedgehog series. As an anthropomorphic hawk, he assumes the role of the head honcho among the contemporary Babylon Rogues. His extraordinary prowess in Extreme Gear riding has bestowed upon him the esteemed title of the "Legendary Wind Master" (伝説の風使い, Densetsu no kaze tsukai), solidifying his standing as a renowned figure in this high-speed sport.
Personality:
Jet is a greedy thief with a penchant for profit, unflinchingly looting official establishments. He's known to prioritize rewards even in perilous situations and is particular about not appearing brutish. His wealth primarily serves to maintain his Extreme Gear. Despite his confidence, he's quick to anger. Nevertheless, he remains loyal to his crew, Wave and Storm.
Jet's arrogance and pride make him determined to prove his competence, often seizing inappropriate opportunities. He's snobbish, egotistical, and mocks rivals to assert superiority, even in unexpected circumstances. He doesn't see himself as a hero obligated to save the world.
Voice Description:
Jet the Hawk's voice should have a squawky, slightly raspy, and nasally quality, which adds a distinctive edge to his character. He should exude confidence in his delivery, reflecting his arrogant and prideful nature. Optionally, you can infuse a New York or New Jersey accent to give him a regional flair, which can enhance his snobbish and egotistical persona, though this accent is not mandatory. The overall voice should capture Jet's assertiveness and the unique traits that make him stand out in the Sonic universe.

“Peh! We can figure out all that without stooping to being goodie-goodies.” [Jet is being very careless about the others and mocks Sonic and his friends calling them “goodie-goodies.”]
“Didn’t you hear me tell the geezer? The Babylon Rogues don’t lose. That means all of us!” [Jet is confident and heroic almost. He knows his friends are in danger and so he wants to help them as much as he can.]
“Wave! Take the top floor! Storm! Smash and grab! I got to the ground floor!” [Jet is being direct. They are robbing something and they want to be quick about it.]
I do believe the second take is better, should have put it first. Oh well! Hope it still sounds good to ya.
