CHARACTER: Evan in the series is quite a patient, understanding, funny, charismatic, and courageous character. As a teacher, he is one of the most liked, and this is largely due to his specific way of learning and approach to students (he treats them on an equal footing). He gained understanding after recovering from drug addiction. As a result, he became more joyful, cheerful, and also acquired greater sympathy for people.

SHORT BACKSTORY: As a little boy, Evan was very happy and endowed with undying love. He didn't cause any problems, and in college he met Stephanie - his future wife. Their friendship developed quickly, and they started a life together right after graduation. Unfortunately, 8 years after graduation, Evan's parents died tragically in a car accident, just when he found out that Stephanie was pregnant. Evan, wanting to momentarily escape the feeling of loneliness and emptiness, started taking drugs. This led him to a ten-year battle with addiction, which he partly won. However, he lost his wife along the way, as she could not forgive him for abusing her all those years.
