(Advising someone that the doctor they are looking for does not work at the hospital) “Doctor Shilling doesn’t work here. He has his own private clinic in town.”
(Admitting she doesn't know the doctor, but trying to be helpful) “Well, I don’t know him too well myself. Maybe our custodian knows him. He’s been around longer than me.” (raises her voice to call over the custodian) ‘Hey, Kevin! Can you come over here for a second?” (Kevin approaches and she goes on in a more moderate tone) “This guy is asking about Doctor Shilling. Do you know him?”
