Norne has a friendly, cheery, enthusiastic personality compared to other members of Marth's army, dressing in cheeky pink and speaking with an informal country accent. Norne was heavily influenced by the steadfast determination of Kris as a child, and is determined to serve her country, protect her Prince and complete his tasks. She developed an affection for Kris, and was motivated to join the Altean army to see them again. If Kris is male, it is suggested that these feelings may be romantic; however, the 20th Anniversary Book states that Norne has mutual romantic affection for Draug, although this is not seen in game.
