King William of Gyldwing married a Scottish Princess and they had a daughter they named Eleanor, during most of his rule he was a harsh but fair King only executing prisoners when their offence was truly deserving, after the Church claimed his wife's sickness to be that of Witchcraft, and with no cure but the death of the witch who killed her, the King became irrational.

Eventually the disease took his Queen which drove him even further into madness, blaming all witches for her death claiming witch craft as a sin and criminal offence the punishment being death he and his daughter grew further and further apart eventually the Princess was accused of being a Witch later proved innocent however he believed she was being enchanted to believe that Rowena was her friend so he had her locked up.

She escaped and ran away with Rowena as well as another witch who was in the same cell as Rowena the King sent his own personal Guard and Lady Ava a Female Knight who had a vendetta against Rowena, hoping it would be a quick retrieval never realizing it would take years of resources, which would inevitably push the Kingdom into poverty but he didn't care.

Importance of Character: This character will only appear in 2-3 episodes and a few possible flashbacks but he is important to the plot.
