Kale is a laid back individual - he loves his friends, but is often put off or overwhelmed by their intensity, horniness, and extreme activities.
It is revealed in the SUPPOURT GROUP route that he's both asexual and aromantic, hence why he is not a romance option. This may be why he was added to the game as an NPC so late compared to other characters.
As his sprite's inclusion of a Gameboy suggests, he has an interest in videogames, as well as smoking weed, comics, and on occasion, even football.

hey, so i was listening to your audition for Kale romero, and just by chance were you high when you did that or did you know someone who gets high and knew how they sounded? Just out of pure curiosity of course
Honestly, it was a little bit of both. I wasn't high when I recorded, but I've seen and heard myself when I was, so I just tried to replicate the general tone, along with a slightly more appropriate sound for Kale
