Well, I never been a Mod before, but the Server Owner wanted a large force so a lot of the standards were lowered. I joined the staff because I think it'll feel pretty fun to have a banhammer in my hands. Some others have joined because they've always wanted to have some sort of power, but I think that is the wrong way to go about it.
