Doomsday Paradise: The Fairy and the Dragon
Richard Gibson for Fairy
Voice: Fairy is very much not androgynous. I'd recommend a very low pitched, gravelly male voice here, but I'm sure other pitches and tones would work well too.
Bio: Fairy is an enforcer for the local mob. Big, strong, and ethically clueless- Fairy mostly does whatever his boss Tessa, the town merchant, tells him to do. With that said- he's also a gigantic softy. He loves nature, tea parties, and animals like any respecting fairy would. He spends the money from his illicit activities on park restoration and wildlife conservation. It's mostly just people that he doesn't care about.
Tips: Fairy is outwardly intimidating and thuggish. While he seems a little stupid and coarse, he's quite intelligent- and caring. However, I do want to reiterate- he's not kind. Not to people, who he doesn't care for much at all. He radiates a "too old for this" aura, and isn't terribly patient. He's very straightforward and honest- what you see is what you get, so he should come across as very matter of fact and generally low/mid energy.
Mike Ehrmantraut is a good reference, although you could also take him in a much more stereotypically "gangster" direction as well.
[Pleased with someone, happy but not super energetic] Way to go!
[Straightforward, you've received a mission- time to get things done] On it, boss
[Confident, a warning but not a terribly passionate one] Step Carefully
That is some amazing range!
Cheers! I liked yours too; the accent range was nice. : )
