Everything changed till my daughter turned four years old. She was very smart and spoke English fluently. One day, my husband and I were on Christmas break, so after putting Amy to sleep we could cuddle together. All of a sudden I heard my daughter talking. It was 3 am and I thought maybe she had a bad dream that woke her up, so I went to check up on her.

She wasn’t scared at all. She was talking to someone about an old house in North Carolina, which used to be the house of a little girl who had died in the 1800s. I opened the door quietly, hoping I’d get a better pick of who was she talking too. At first I was terrified, cause I thought she was talking to a robber that might have broken in. I was terrified. What if the robber killed my baby?

I behaved myself and moved slowly, opening the door. As I got a better view of my daughter, I noticed the doll my dad had bought to Amy. The doll was talking for real. I could not believe my eyes and ears.
