On top of my paid jobs, I produce a podcast recapping the weekly misadventures of my Dungeons and Dragons party -- something which I found that I had some natural talent for (although I’m always looking for, and finding, ways to improve!) and it opened my eyes to the possibility of voice acting as a career choice.
Dungeons and Dragons is a passion of mine, as are all board gaming and fantasy pursuits. The demand for a strong narrative, great character voices and personalities, as well as the boundless arena of possibilities that one can conjure in the Theatre of the Mind keeps me coming back to the table every week. You never know what will happen.
I was born in Essex to a Welsh family and moved to Tamworth, in the West Midlands, at six years old. This young exposure to a variety of accents means that I’ve become something of an accent chameleon, easily able to pick up new accents and styles.
While completing my degree in engineering, I became a project manager for the eighth-biggest NHS hospital Trust in the UK, managing such complex things as ward refurbishments (while patients and staff are still on the ward) and hospital expansions. I therefore have plenty of experience with producing satisfactory projects in a timely manner and communicating with clients throughout.
In 2021, I became father to a wonderful young boy whose story is just beginning.
In my vanishing spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, learning German, playing tabletop, board games and video games with friends and / or my partner, and am passionate about music -- particularly a few relatively obscure subgenres of metal.
