A mysterious man of magic once rescued by Count Bleck. Although he appears to be loyal, his wish is to destroy Count Bleck and rule the worlds. Being a jester, he treats everything as if it's a game. Interactions and battles and all. He strings people along both for his own gain, and just for the amusement of it all, whilst keeping a calm, casual demeanor. He uses a lot of metaphors. Wicked, sociopathic, and chaotic to the core.
Dimentio's voice should be medium to medium-high in pitch. It should be a light, not heavy sound, but not nasally. It should sound very carefree. He's evil, but his voice doesn't tell that. His sociopathic nature makes him unphased by the tragedies around him and the emotions of others. Even when moderately relishing in his own work, his voice never screams or yells. His excitement is clear, but not over-the-top, except for the very end of the game. Additionally, he has a signature laugh that's very light and casual, almost like magic.
- [To COUNT BLECK and minions during a meeting. Agreeing and almost wickedly day-dreamy.] "Yes, yes, no one likes the icky stuff… Yesss… A perfect world… Sounds magical… Ah ha ha. I can hardly stand the wait."
- [Literally just showing up to another minion meeting, but in his classic, theatrical fashion.] "And so I arrive, like a sudden windstorm at a kindergarten picnic!"
- [Meeting the heroes for the first time in the desert, introducing himself, excited to defeat the heroes in an almost sociopathic manner.] "Master of dimensions... Pleaser of crowds... I am... Dimentio! It is truly enchanting to finally meet my hapless victims. I have prepared a special morsel of a treat for you! How about some...MAGIC!"
- [DIMENTIO has just been eavesdropping on COUNT BLECK and NASTASIA. He is intrigued, yet has his own devious priorities.] "Mm... Just what is our dear count playing at? Ah, well. I’ll let him worry about that. I must attend to my own...projects."
- [To the heroes after transforming O'CHUNKS into the brainwashed O'CABBAGE, a souped-up version of O'CHUNKS under the control of a sprout by DIMENTIO.] "Ah ha ha. Simply adorable. Now remember, kids: eat your vegetables to grow big! Except, in this case, a veggie will eat YOU! Have fun, now! Ciao!"
- [To a defeated MR. L in the World of Nothing. Ominously suggesting his demise.] "You said it yourself. You can't go back to the count now. So get lost."
- [After being chased by the heroes through every world. He is revealing his plan to MARIO, LUIGI, and TIPPI. This is one of his more serious lines, less theatrics than usual.] "I have been watching you. You are the only ones who can stand up to Count Bleck. So...I have a favor to ask. Will you help me...destroy the count?"
- [To COUNT BLECK, TIPPI, and the heroes. He is about to combine with the Chaos Heart and Luigi into the monstrous final boss of the game. This is where his excitement is truly unleashed and he goes completely mad.] "Now... Ladies and gentlemen... Get ready for the greatest magic show you'll ever see!"
