Even with being shy and timid, he is a lot tougher and braver than what immediately may be shown.

[loses his cool out of nowhere, yelling] We are the gray area!!

[interrupted by his phone going off, playing a little kiddish sounding ringtone. He is instantly embarrassed, as he is questioned whether or not the device belongs to him]
[flustered] What?! No, that's not mine!
