Dr. Eggman, the series antagonist is known for his intelligence, but not his common sense. He's very over-confident, but when things start to fall apart, he isn't afraid to flee the scene. He has a deep hatred of Sonic and his friends for foiling his many plots over the years. But now, with the power of the black asteroid, maybe he has a chance to defeat the trio once and for all.
So, my hypothesis was correct. There it is, exactly what I’ll need to stop that hedgehog, and to finally conquer the world. With the power in that asteroid, nothing in the universe could possibly stop me!
